Welcome to Aylesbury & District Ramblers
Established over 50 years ago, Aylesbury & District Ramblers are a friendly, informal group within the national Ramblers Association, a charitable organisation set up to promote walking. In normal times we would organise about 120 walks a year, everything from 4 to 16 miles. Some are leisurely, some strenuous, but most are somewhere in between. Under the current Government regulations on Covid-19, walking is restricted to limited numbers of members only, and occasionally stopped altogether. However, we are still open to new members, so if you want to join us you can.
There are many great walks in and around Aylesbury, and over 15 national trails and recreational paths cross our area. There are three walks that circumnavigate the town of Aylesbury, including one, The Outer Aylesbury Ring, developed and implemented by Us! The others are the Round Aylesbury Walk and the Aylesbury Ring. To find out more click on "Walks", above.
Where we walk
To give you a flavour of where we walk, when we walk and to find out more about us take a look at the links below. (NB Forthcoming Walks button below is currently disconnected, due to restrictions on numbers and the need for members to pre-register for walks.)
The Outer Aylesbury Ring (OAR)
Fancy a 53 mile long distance path or one of 14 circular walks in our beautiful local countryside? Then see Our OAR guides, which have all the information you'll need.
It is now 7 years since Aylesbury Ramblers completed the OAR. We continue to update our guides in light of the feedback we receive from users. Also, don't forget to look at OAR Updates, for the very latest information before you set out to walk it.
